Hi, Im Ela! And i’m absolutely crazy about cats, well all animals! I started The Cat House when I found an injured cat and was unable to find a rescue or shelter willing to help. That’s when I knew I had to step up! My passion for helping animals in need started my rescue journey 20 years ago!

Today, The Cat House is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit cat sanctuary located in Greenbrier, TN where we take in abandoned, sick and injured cats and provide medical care and sanctuary for all!

While our focus is mainly on cats, we also take in dogs and wildlife! Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

In addition to rescue efforts, we also provide TNVR for community/feral cats to help stop over population, as well as basic care and nutrition counseling.
